Ah. I get what you're saying. Yes. 8 Games. But if there were 7 10 way FFAs going on the same server, then they are going to be having terrible lag regardless of what I'm doing. And since I'm confined to my own core, and I'm not (I'm assuming) giving move orders and whatnot, I'm using relatively little bandwidth – which is where the main bottleneck is. The game can run pretty well on a single core server from what we've been told. It's the fact that 8 games are on one server with limited bandwidth that's the main problem.

What's more, this game specifically has no unit cap. I can play the game however I want. I've only ever done this twice, and I also did it during non-peak times late in the evening.

This is just another case for us really needing server access. I really want to be able to set up my own mega server and just go nuts for kicks.

Ofcourse you have the right to build as many stuff as you want. It's just that I am worried about the performance of the other games when this stuff happens. As I don't know how the server precisely works I thought that pumping in 40k units just RAMMED the crap out of the other games played on that server. As I don't know how much bandwidth it takes for 40k units.

Which is why I don't do it every day.

Low simspeed is not a result of not enough bandwidth, but of an overloaded cpu. Though if Uber has setup the servers to explicitly use one core per server instance the cpu load of your units should not effect other games. Only ram and bandwidth may be an issue, as those definitely are shared.

Didn't say it was the cause of low sim speed.

From my understanding, bandwidth is the main issue that would cause Game A to lag out Game B/C/D/E/F/G.
