Polite request for Dev input

Unfortunately, I wonder how many people are the same as you right now. Literally, a one sentence statement, officially announced, from a dev, saying offline is coming "soon" would help calm 50%+ of these disappointed people down. It's no good releasing offline a month and saying "here it is!" When a proportion of the customer base has already gotten refunds or written the game off.
It makes me sad face, because I really like this game.

The answer as stated by Brad is soon. Also agree that orbital stalemates are no longer a problem. Good systems with multiple small moons and or metal planets create a good balance and it is quite easy to land teleporters on even heavily turtled planets. Maybe a strictly orbital nuke with a wider damage radius might still be called for.

At the end of the day, the devs *have stated* repeatedly that offline is coming. They can't be expected to *repeat it in every thread that pops up*. Sorry OP isn't being reasonable here.

I'm not sure that's fair, I'm not a troll, but I'll take the very clever. Your reply is far more 'trollish' and inciteful than anthing I have written.

To your antagonistic points though:

"I want a dev to drop what they're doing and come and tell me what I want to know" - More 'I'd like a response from a dev ideally, in their own time, but given their rate of response on other issues on here (as they are so engaged), in a day or so would be nice'

I like reading the discussions on strategy, or balancing, etc, but the endless loops of 'Fanboy - 'SOON', all other consumers / some increasingly ex-Fanboys - 'wtf, I paid for this, why isn't it what it said on the tin'' gets dull. Thus my original request for a dev response.

Finally, to your 'end of the day' comment, that's completely missed the point. The actual bottom line here is that the game was released, people paid for it and fundamental elements don't work as expected. Before returning it as faulty goods it's quite OK for people to ask what's going on, and either get a response that satifies them (or not), or no response at all and act accordingly - i.e. request a refund.

I will do as you say and email the support address, will come back if I get a response.

I think CDRKF was close to correct, except for the part about you being a troll. But I do think you are whining about something that has already been discussed. Not to say it is incorrect to be disappointed that the offline mode hasn't been completed yet, or there is lag, or the unit cannon isn't in the game yet (the idea of it is so much fun!), or there isn't an orbital anti nuke facility. I want all of those things too!!

Generating a thread to demand satisfaction for your personal issue when quotes from the devs abound already concerning this exact topic is pretty annoying and feels kinda like troll bait for those of us who have been here for a long time and want the exact same things. Again, not to dismiss your concerns, as I feel the same way about a lot of these things, but I know the team at Uber will be making good on their promises. They have already delivered on so much!

As for their engagement, there are a lot of posts to try and keep track of, they could probably employ two people full time just to answer forum posts and be engaged in the community and still not meet everyone's expectations. Their team is relatively small and I would prefer if they spent their time/money on making the game better. This, I guess, is my "fanboy" perspective, though I really do hate putting people into bs categories like that.

I do hope the devs are able to answer you directly, that would be really good and I certainly hope you stick around, the game imo is a LOT of fun already and I think has the capability to stand the test of time as both the community (with you included) and the dev team grow and develop the game.

If I recall rightly, they mentioned the offline mode on the 9/5 livestream as well, I think the comment was something along the lines of: we are working on it.

Good luck with your quest for a refund in the kingdom of Steam, many an adventurer has attempted such a feat but none have returned.
