I am getting a radom, wierd error and wondered if anybody else got it too. Sometimes the "building select" at bottom of the screen while having select a builder unit stops reacting to clicks. A click does not put that building on my cursor. It seems like the button itself still responds to the click, it jsut forgets the final step (putting that blueprint to my cursor). When this hits me reloadui (F5) does not help to solve it. However I can continue to use the Key-shortcuts to select something to build and it's blueprint will be properly assigned to my cursor. Is anybody else having similar issues? Anybody found a solution perhaps?
I'm very surprised that F5 is not fixing it, as that is how I always fixed it. It's sort of a UI crash. At least the hotkeys work! Could you upload a dxdiag.txt? Run dxdiag.exe, save all information and upload the resulting file (dxdiag.txt). Check for graphics driver updates as well.
How do I upload text files for linking to this forum, or do I have to use a 3rd pary host for teh files? Regarding updates I install windows updates and the driver help programm tells me no Graphics updates. I even recently ran a chkdsk on the system drive. I even recently ran a chkdsk. It does not persist between games and so far it seems random, so I keep forgetting to gather some data on it.
*facepalm*Totally have overlooked it down there. I expected this stuff to be in the editor, with only Post/preview/more options being down there. So here it is.
https://downloadcenter.intel.com/SearchResult.aspx?lang=eng&FamilyId=39&ProductID=3720&ProdId=3720 Update your drivers, they are a verson behind. This may help, if not, we'll go from there. Also, do you have any mods installed?
Thanks. I totally forgot the dirvers for the weaker card it seems. I think I found the/a issue: I most often had this happen when placing Metal Extractors/Generators. And now I noticed that when the System Map (Q) is open behind the build selection, the click seems to be intercepted by the map/never reaching the build selectio but. I had just asumed it affected all the others so far, but this was the first time I tested it. So it is only some minor issue with the Map, nothing big.
Ah, I guess it could be because your screen resolution is rather close the minimum system requirements (1280 x 720). Though obviously that shouldn't happen, you might still want to try the Scale UI mod (if that still works).
