So I know that someone already posted about this, but the comments weren't very helpful, and I dislike bringing my own problems to someone else's problem thread. I open up the launcher, log in, and click play. The launcher spits out an error saying "Please shut down all instances of Planetary Annihilation and try again". I'm not completely sure how I should approach this. My first guess was that some individual process didn't shut down correctly, stopped working, and that the launcher detected this and prevented me from continuing until the process was closed. To try and fix this, I restarted my computer. I then opened the launcher again and the same error popped up. I'm not running through Steam. Windows 8. I'd prefer to avoid a re-installation if at all possible as internet here is somewhat spotty. Any ideas? A specific process that I should look for? Do I have to re-install?
Have you tried to redownload the launcher? That itself is very small, just a few MB (less than 30 I think), if possible, give that a go. Also, are all of your graphics drivers up to date?
If there any chance you used mine how-to about decreasing RAM usage please remove registry change and use bat script posted in topic instead. If you have no idea what I talking about just ignore it.
