Now with Eyetracking? (mouse issue)

    Tried out a few of the earlier versions, and apart from som optimization issues it ran fine.

    Decided to give the new build a spin now that "the game is out". But much to my dismay, it seems the game now requires some sort of eyetracking input, as the mouse pointer disappears upon first click.

    For platform games, first person shooters and most other games, a mouse pointer is a nice option to have for menus, but for an RTS game it kind of renders the experience near impossible. And while it'd be nifty to have a game which tracked where you were looking on screen, taking voice cues for selecting, build ordering and directing units, I get the feeling this is not quite how the game is designed to work.

    So...yeah. In a nutshell. the cursor disappears first time I click the screen. It's as if the cursor exists in a separate application which is overlayed over the game screen. Upon clicking the screen flashes (as if changing between a fullscreen application and another fullscreen application), and the mouse pointer is gone. Menu navigation is just about possible by looking where the highlighted button is and moving accordingly.

    I've found changing into a window will allow a mouse cursor, but the UI looks horribly cramped.

    Any suggestions?

    Intel Q9300 - 4-core 2.5ghz CPU
    NVidia GeForce 465GTX - newest drivers just downloaded and installed.
    4GB memory

    bug already noted, apparently its a problem pa is having with vista, will be fixed in a patch soon with any luck.

    The workaround is to play in Windowed mode, I think. It's probably in the link Brupleonnie gave.
