Is this supposed to happen in Galactic War now, since the full release? Terrible spawn locations, all the time!

I notice it happens ALL THE TIME on GW. Must be an intentional setting tbh. Doesn't matter, just quickcap some metal in the radius.

It is slightly better than 1 gw match I played, where metal was scarce, there was only 1 metal per spawn point and 0 metal ANYWHERE ELSE.

On that note, ALSO, the AI gets equal spawns since spawn metal is a global setting, so the AI is getting crappy vacant spawns too.

Spawns with no metal are commonplace these days. It's not the end of the world, but it's a huge bummer for MP when a player gets no metal and opponents get several.

It is probably a result of "commander starting income" being so comparatively high.

It's no excuse for one player starting in metal paradise, and other either between rocks or in water, with zero metal.

This should be fixed somehow. It makes some people just abandon the match right away, which sucks.

Balanced starting planet choices would be good.

So players can only spawn on planets where the other player can also spawn, leaving the choice to the player if they go for the metal rsuh metal world, or the barren but hallieable slab of rock.

Also, a MP option to have balanced metal points generate at player spawn points for competitive people.

Like in supcom with the 4.

Oh, and land anywhere kinda fixes this, but have a huge flaw - comm box on first second of the match. Naturally, everyone wants better spot, so chances of you spawning in one place with someone are incredibly high.

It should probably be the other way around. Spawns should probably force 0 metal. Any metal normally spawning there should re-roll to spawn away from the commander spawn. That way, everyone has to work for metal.

Really this was a problem before, just less so, because it was 7 compared to 5. Now, its 2 compared to 0.

I don't see it as such a problem now that the commander generates so much eco. Factory very early means you can get away with mex further away than before without being stunted, as fabbers will probably be getting them for you. Spawn 1 in the OP image is a good spawn. You can still get bad spawns, but it takes a larger area of the map to be sparse of mex than before to judge it (assuming you're judging on mex alone).

Yeah, ive been making a lot of systems lately and i also noticed its really hard to have a planet everyone considers fair in 1v1.
