It seems like the devs dont understand the importance of a proper matchmaker...
Why do we even have to talk about and beg for such a basic feature in 2014??? Boneyards for TotalAnnihilation was released in 1999.

New players will get stomped from bored better players and will uninstall the game after experiencing this several times!
Saying we heared you, here are gametags for marking games as casual or competitive is useless, because there is no indicator of how good a player is. No chance to get a good game of equally skilled players running.

But happily in some month UBER can release a matchmaker for the non competitive remaining galactic war and skirmish AI players.

That is one crazy button. Like saying, this staff either summons a rainstorm or a llama.

Yeah, so basically Uber has 3 years to add matchmaking before Bhaal gets angry. :3

What the hell are you talking about?
No ladders or quickmatch -> DOA. The harsh world of RTS development.

Given the PA already has an active community *before release* (and we're not going anywhere) I don't think you can say it's DOA.

I mean *before it's even released* we have a number of clans and the first clan wars league starts in approx 8 days time.

yeah but common guys, how many games back then had matchmaking and TA was one of them. the point being, of course, : "in this day and age?!?"

The poblem is, they did not start working on PA in 1997. It doesn't work this way in game development. :3

Thats why almost every other strategy game these days has a matchmaker and ladder at launch?

Most of them have like 10 times PA's budget, and still, they don't have planet smashing and stuff. :)

I can't believe that. You prioritize a ladder above offline and Lan? Seriously?

Tbh honest I'd exchange asteroids and metal planets for a working ladder anyday.

Asteroids might make people come, a ladder will make them stay.

Which is why you've provided one :) A fine example of the 'dog principal' right there (have you cake, eat it, regurgitate it and then eat it again).....
