This isn't really a discussion question but, how ofter can the Annihilaser fire? Is it one-time only?

    Really often. Like, wipe-out-the-solar-system-in-seconds often.

As soon as it's been shot, it can shoot.

I think you can change it's charge up time. I think its 3 seconds right now (takes more time to aim the thing)

The guys at Uber are proably still thinking 'Whats up with these guys? We give them the Deathstar and the first thing they do is calling for nerfs!'

Yea, I know right? I think the whole point is that once a player has control over one, all other planets go away. Its obscenely difficult to defend them against an opponent who is not way far behind, and dont forget, it cant destroy a commander thats on the metal planet itself.

I think it's just funny, a small cooldown imo would be justified. Just building something and instantly winning the games isn't that fun. You're already close enough, since the laser can - contrary to planet smashing - actually kill big planets. Idk, might be necessary to take a look at more competetive games to judge the thing.

You will never see it used in competitive games because for the cost of one death star, you could have 1.3 thousand ants. Even half that number would have won the game long before the death star was finished.
    reptarking and temeter like this.

So it's basically an up-scaled nuke.

Well... assuming I have 30 T1 factories, and perhaps 10 T2, would it still be faster to fabricate the Catalyst? If you have the economy to actually produce 1.3K ants in a reasonable time, you can build the Catalyst very quickly. Especially since it doesn't need to be on a specific planet, nor does it need to account for the same amount of movement time.

    Also, lag.

Speaking of the annihilaser and such, I'll attempt to get on Teamspeak so we can go talk about balancing out the new orbital mechanics and death star. :p
