I was preparing to assault and annihiliate the enemy AI in Galactic Wars and then out of nowhere the game froze. It is responding now, but everything moves in slowmotion now each x seconds. Does somebody know how to fix it?

I've tried setting the time faster with the chronocam, which sadly didnt work. When I go back in time and play then back everything does play out normally, so it isnt an fps issue. Can anyone help me fix this please so I can finish this fight? :c

It's the new time dilation thing.
Basically, the server is freaking out and instead of a slideshow, it's just slowing down the in-game time.

It isn't usually too bad if you don't spam mass global patrol units on every planet, play with too large/too many planets, and are not experiencing a hiccup/traffic spike on the uber network. All in all a huge improvement to the game. I did find it pretty funny you tried to fix it using the chronocam though :p

If it is not server sided the game needs some optimisations fast, because I have an I7, GTX 760 and 16GB RAM.

I think I had this in a test game I played vs myself with like 5 units in the game. There was no visible reason whatsoever to slow down. Apart maybe from other games on the same server going insane, that actually might be a reason.

Time dilatation by definition has to be server sided. You cant have different time dilatation for every player in a game. Well if you can, please describe how it works, it'll probably win a few nobel prices about time travel.

    jesus christ!

I spent hours on that debate here! https://forums.uberent.com/threads/gameplay-downgraded.63351/ why didn't you intervene?
as a snide remark to all those who were telling me "shut up it's client-side only!"

You only get the dilatation for the server slowing down.

Unfortunately I can't even get that with my shitty internet atm.

I just wish there was a batter system for re-joining games that have started rather then just logging in and out.

I had read some little part of the thread before I decided the discussion would lead nowhere and probably was just about different people using different words to describe the same concept over and over again.

In the end they concluded it was a client-side only thing. I think you would have been beneficial.
    I'm sorry too!

Too many pages to read a thread about a non-issue.
