    Shoot planet with activated Halleys using Catalyst?

    I did.

    When you choose to smash a planet the laser is deactivated.
    If you choose to laser a planet first and then send to annihilate, the lasering process is cancelled.

    Uber thought ahead :p

    I think he means like- trying to shoot the laser at a planet moving with a halley.

    It was first thing I tested, didn't work for me. Maybe it was because there was gas giant in between so no clear line of fire? I unno.

    But planet just got grayed out.


    BTW, what if you nuke catalysts that are charging? Is one nuke enough to destroy catalyst?
    And while we are at it, what if you nuke halley that is already going? Is one nuke enough?

    I just was in a game where planet was sent into me, but it was very very far away, and I had my nuke almost charged, and then sim froze for ten minutes and I will never find this out in legit game situation I guess >_<

    Whilst i were using annihilaser, the enemy sent sxx to destroy them. They destroyed it like half second before it fired, but it fired and then the planet bugged out and the laser would not fire anymore.

    you can destroy a halley with 1 nuke if i remember coorectly.. and if the Halleys are activated and you then nuke them, thus destroying them, the planet will stop to smash and enter a new orbit. I dont know how many nukes it costs to destroy a catalyst but i guess 1.

    Edit: The best way to 100% stop the laser is to smash the laser.. as it will be unable to fire because of the crater.

    1 nuke destroys a catalyst, and i dont even think it has to be a straight-on hit.
