Wrecks should be an opportunity...if you have the where-with-all to go after them. At the same time destroyed ships should sink...like the are supposed to...and so that they do not piss off the average PA player.

i live for the delete button.

in all seriousness, thanks for the suggestion. I'm pretty sure you're going to like the progress with naval in the next build in terms of patching. We should reconvene then and air out the feedback.

Just let naval wrecks sink...problem solved. Also, that is what is supposed to happen when an ship gets f'ed.

We're supposed to get that eventually. They've hinted that they're working on them.

I think the problem with naval units is that they're friggin' massive. If logic had any hold the units should curve slightly because on most planets the curvature is so tight that the naval units would be affected by it.

Really? Well that's good to hear. I'd got the impression that wrecks were basically off the menu. The only exchange of information I had seen about wrecks was this one:

To me, "never-say-never" does not imply that Uber for-see working on it again. "Never-say-never" is the kind of thing I would say to some hypothetical offspring who asked if we were going to Disneyland soon and I knew the answer was a flat No, but I didn't want to tell them that. "Never-say-never" suggests that there will be no more work on making the best of wrecks, instead just leaving it for modders to fix, despite the fact that the only real thing modders can do with wreaks is turn it off, or alter it's durability with respect to the original unit.

If the plan was to fix it later, I would have expected a post along the lines of:
That is what I would have expected if wreckages were going to be coming back. I would really like to see these posts "hinting" that wreckage is still being actively developed, or that there is even the intention to do so in the future.

Then they'd cause issues with amphibious units. It's not a final solution, until the wreckages can be implemented properly, removing them is a sound idea.

It should sink to the ground. I hope that the pathfinding is enormously better in the 1.0 release than it is right now. Still a lot of problems...

Edit: Well, I didn't see the other people saying we need sinking debris. Whatever.
