I just virus scanned a fresh copy of PA. When I quarantined the file and removed it, I tried the game (still didnt work) then I verified the cache to make sure no files were missing, it said all files were there..

This is hopeless  I just don't want to have to buy a new copy of the game or something x_X

Perhaps it is a false positive? I think antiviruses like MalwareBytes and Avast often flag game files and their associated registry items as malicious.

You could try rescanning with Microsoft Security Essentials, a free antivirus that is much less likely to report false positives and is compatible with your OS.

Especially because the game is "in development", many antivirus programs are flagging the game executable as suspicious. You should be able to add an exception for pa.exe within the program to exempt it from getting flagged.
The issue however, may still be a missing "host" in your firewall. When I mentioned "https://uberent.com", I meant to add this as the "host". I apologize that wasn't made more clearly. :(

I'm curious if you've tried to log in through the Launcher as well as Steam. Do you receive the same error message, "couldn't resolve host"?

It still claims that it's not a valid address, I'll just wait for a patch or something maybe. Ever since the new updates I haven't been able to play

I'm sorry to page @SXX here, but I think he's seen what you're going through and can help. SXX, is this still a firewall issue?

I don't know if you've tried this already, but have you tried resetting Windows Firewall to default settings?

One time, I messed up the settings and I could not gain access to the internet. Resetting to default fixed the problem for me.

How can the new updates prevent you from playing? I haven't had any firewall or connection issues since I bought the game.

Also, have you uninstalled MalwareBytes yet?

Doing both didnt seem to really do anything. And i'm not sure how the new updates might have fiddled with it :p

Just a random question: Is the game installed on your primary C: Drive or a secondary hard drive?
