When I launch it, EVERY TIME it asks me to accept the disclaimer. As soon as I accept it immediately says I'm unable to sign in without even being able to type in my password. Here's exactly what the game says when I launch it: 1. Connecting to ubernet... ( for about half a second) 2. Unable to Sign in : Error connectingto UberNet: Couldn't resolve host '4.uberent.com' Unknown Error. Please contact us at support@uberent.com 3. I hit ok, then I put in my password and I hit log in 4. Re-read step 1. I have tried everything, disabling and letting it go past my firewalls. I have windows firewall and Norton security suite, and Malware Bytes ( I don't know if malware bytes will do anything) I don't think it's a firewall problem. I used to play this game all the time with my friend until recently. I reinstalled the game as well, and reset my computer. This has been going on for around the entire week. Please Help!!!!
Hello, Please check this link: http://steamcommunity.com/app/233250/discussions/2/558751813508748383/ If you are running Norton 360, you will have to make sure PA.exe and CoherentUI_Host.exe have "Allowed" rules set. As far as I know, MalwareBytes is not listed in the link above, but you could add PA.exe to the whitelist and give it a try. Also, please post your Dxdiag so I can take a look at your system specs.
Thank you Kjotak, I appreciate the response however after checking my norton for both of those programs, they were both allowed. no success, here's my dxdiag readme.
Graphics drivers are outdated by almost a year: Code: Card name: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660M Driver Version: 9.18.13.3221 Driver Date/Size: 12/19/2013 15:33:31, 18222008 bytes The latest drivers for your video card can be found on the Nvidia website: http://www.nvidia.com/download/driverResults.aspx/77228/en-us You also have a gaming headset installed: Code: Description: Speakers (Siberia V2 Illuminated) PA has problems with certain gaming headsets. I don't know if this headset will cause problems with the game.
I'm surprised the Malwarebytes hasn't told you to uninstall Norton yet I think there's a fairly wide consensus that Norton security software is not the best solution available (to put it diplomatically). I'd recommend researching and considering an alternative, particularly if you play online games a lot.
I personally use Avast along with MalwareBytes. I used to use AVG but then it became exceedingly intrusive and kept trying to change my homepage and search engine.
Strange, my computer was searching for the latest drivers and it told me they were fully updated, so I just manually updated the drivers. I'll see if my headset is fiddling with it. I'll get back to you soon
I use Microsoft Security Essentials as my one and only antivirus, as it was built for Windows systems. Plus, it is not as intrusive as other antiviruses.
I think I know the problem: - Your Steam name cannot be the same as your Uber display name. As @cwarner7264 said in another thread:
From that screenshot, it looks like you've not linked your Steam and Uber accounts. Try this: http://support.uberent.com/kb/faq.php?id=35 EDIT: If you've done it correctly, it should look something like in my attachment
This is probably the problem for sure I believe I've linked both accounts correctly and it still claims I don't have the game but I have the soundtrack.
Hmm...It says the same thing on my account. I linked my Steam and UberNet accounts when I launched PA for the first time. Here's an image. I bought the game through Steam instead of the Uber Store, so that might be why it doesn't show up there. Strangely enough, I can log in and play the game fine.
Hey there - This may help answer the missing key question: http://support.uberent.com/kb/faq.php?id=5 Also, @ark5, your account is correctly linked to your Ark5202 Steam account, so no worries there. As far as I know, there should not be any issues with your account name and Steam name being the same. That should be fine. If you are receiving the error "couldn't resolve host", this is a firewall issue. For Norton 360, @kjotak109 is correct, you'll need to add the following files to the "allow" list: pa.exe bin_x64/pa.exe bin_x64/host/coherent.exe You may also need to add the IP "uberent.com" as the host in Windows Firewall and/or Norton. I'm not very familiar with firewall issues so I apologize if I can't be of more help.
Hi mkrater, I appreciate your reply, however it claimed that the ip uberent.com wasn't valid and the link pretty much told me that I had to link my accounts ( which i've done countless times) and I also uninstalled norton antivirus, there's zero trace of it on my computer
How about https://uberent.com ? If you've uninstalled Norton, it may be Windows Firewall. The Windows Firewall one can be tricky as you can "disable" it, but it's still working in the background.
Something tells me that I'm somehow linking my accounts incorrectly... I was able to play this game before with my friend (which was around a few months ago before a few updates) the https://uberent.com just asks me to login and then when I do it just sends me to my keys. Also the game was purchased via Steam
