Why remove Unit Wreckage?

    Removing wreckage is a plain wtf to me. Though I would guess that is temporary, due to issues with pathfinding.
    Pathing on spheres really is a hard thing I guess...

    Chiming in here that Nanolathe is completely correct. History has proven him right so far, why the hell is he wrong now?

    I fully assume this is a temporary thing until pathing is fixed.

    Wreckage had a poor role up until now - it was even being pushed around by units, barely visible, hp wise it was made of paper, etc...

    But!
    Wreckage absolutely needs to be in this game, there is no way around that.

    Hopefully until temp. because one of the things this game has instead of high HD graphics, is that it has more dynamics as in when you destroy someone you see a litered battlefield with dead units and buildings. thats what so freaking awesome.

    Where as in other RTS games like say Starcraft 2, 10sec after a battle everything is all sparkly and clean like the house maid was just there. I HATE THAT.

    Immersion is very very important and always worth the time, effort and money.

    Ill rather have less players in a game, than 40 player matches and everything stripped down to bare bones, ill be the first to say that. Quality above quantity

    I wonder if this means wrecks are gone in mods? I wouldn't think so as I thought wrecks were generated from a unit... Please note: I could be completely wrong on that regard, haven't really taken a look.

    Hoping it's still there, as I like wreckage :D

    What? They changed a value in one of the JSON files from what I understand. It set Unit wreckage to zero health.

    Even if they don't use it for gameplay it at leasst needs to be cosmetic for awesome's sake. I was very disappointed coming back after a few months and seeing my tanks disappear instead of leaving little carcasses.

    This is temporary for sure, they advertised with permanent wreckage so they can't remove it.

    I think wreckages are confirmed but unit wreckages in specific im not sure.

    Hoping it's temporary and unit wreckage will return in a better form that degrades instead of vanishing after a few shots.

    It worked brilliantly in TA as both a resource and an obstacle that we would create:

    The fact that unit wreckage had any hp at all seemed a bit odd to me. These are supposed to be killer robots, not pea-shooters. (building wreckage is big enough that it has an excuse)

    TA had way fewer units than PA. While TA's unit wreckages were like boulders blocking your path, PA's unit wreckages are more like grains of sand that you have to wade through. That's what people were complaining about: unit wreckages slowing down their assault and being a nuisance rather than an interesting mechanic.
