    What the ****?!?!?!?

Wait ........ 582 days + 30000 hours in the other games = about 1800 days played in total.

= 5 years of playing nonstop

    WHAT???????????????????????????????????

Just a question ... how old are you?

If you started playing since CS 1 was released, that was 15 years ago ... does that mean 8 hours PER DAY on average FOR 15 years ?!?!??!?!?!?!

Some of those would certainly be frustrating. To be honest there is nothing wrong with putting the game aside for a while until certain bugs are fixed; everyone's tolerance to bugs is different and that is fine I think.
Personally I am not sure you need to un-install it though as it does not take up much HD space and patches are released relatively often so if you leave the game installed you can check back from time to time with no great difficulty.

I feel like you're only playing this game as a competitive game, is that right? considering the games you've come from like CS and DOTA? Think that once the few bugs have been squished the game will be just fine for you, like the grey screen I have to admit I have never had that crash in the year and a bit I've been playing this game, since the beginning of alpha so that is a weird one for me, pathing issues I have never really had an issue with that either since alpha so I do find it a little strange that you should be having those 2 particular issues.

You will always get people online that are either not on the same level as you, or just complete e-jerks that is the very nature of online gaming no matter what game you play you will always have those problems so considering your background, this really shouldn't be a reason to "quit" simply because people act stupid in team games. That literately happens in every online game ever made especially playing with completely random people you don't know.

I find it a little strange that for someone who has been playing this game as long you stated, has only written 20 or so comments, while being such a competitive pvp'er I would have thought there would have been PLENTY for you to write about over the past year to help with the competitiveness of this game especially in the wake of ladder matches ect... Quit if you want but seems a bit odd you'll announce it to the world in a post after complete silence of the past year?

I mainly took up gaming as a past time when I was younger, but was hooked onto games as early as I was 8 years old. I literally remember that I was severely hooked to games, even MUCH more so than right now between 8 to 11. I recalled playing up to 12 hours per day on most days back then on games like Master of Orion 2 and Total Annihilation. The reason was to distract myself from external issues.

Crazy stuff. I hope You have less problems now. Respect for your gaming stats. Wish I would have so much time to play. PA is getting better, so be patient and give it some more time. See you in battle ;)

I wouldn't say that uber focussed on the wrong things from the beginning, where did you draw that conclusion!
Yeah the game is highly highly bugged atm, and i also wrote a angry post about ALL the sh*t that aint working and they should fix some stuff that is broke for ages. And some changes need to be made imho to make this game flow better, especially planetary invasions, but i wouldn't say this game is crap because the idear is wonderful!

I'm not sure if this thread makes me happy or sad...playing games to escape reality is one of those double edged swords I think. Anyway, maybe you should give PA a break for a while and find something you enjoy to its fullest. Like something in your real life, and I honestly hope that is possible.
I find myself being a lot more retrospective nowadays, and wishing I had done more with my time after school and such, than just playing games...but then, I never made any money from it!

If and when you decide to come back, I'm sure you will be able to find plenty of able and willing folks here to play with :) and I'm pretty sure most of the issues you have with the game will be addressed.
