No need for unit cannon.... Just use astreus to pick up buildings

    I had this grand idea that, instead of having to make a unit cannon, just pick up buildings and plop them on the planet you want.




    This eliminates all balance problems. Period.

    So you're saying that players should construct the desired building, pick it up with an Astraeus, and drop it off on another planet?

    How is using an Astraeus to transport structures from planet to planet fixing balance problems? Some clarification will be helpful.

    That sounds like what I was thinking. If I send a factory to another planet, I can build up an army and launch a relentless assault on the enemy.

    Sod that ... Just allow factories to fly. So basically, select all your base, right click on another planet and off they go.

    This doesn't fix the invasion issues. The buildings will just be bombed just like the teleporters.

    Well the ability to transport static defences might... As you could drop flack turrets and triple barrel lasers and so on. Still I think that would be op- just drop a holkins next to your enemy....

    I thought invasion was fixed? Send mass orbital fabbers and orbital fighters for protection. Fabbers build anchors first over a spot then a teleporter? Or does that not work?

    I understand umbrellas can counter but if you have the numbers it works.

    Edit: oh I see the issue. Bombers. No counter from orbit.

    Edit2: maybe a large drop of anti air but then you need land defense. So it's basically a large drop of hundreds of units plus the orbital war. Sounds fun. Doesn't it work now?

    Actually a holkins + some static defence might be a better option- vanguard is powerful but only if you can get it close- if they have anti air + anti orbital you'll not get close enough. With the holkins on the other hand- you drop it *outside the range of any of their defences* and pummel them from a distance :D
