Okay, I've been able to play PA before however since the latest build, it has become so that I can't at all play battles, In galactic war or multi-player the same thing happens. I can start a new galactic war however when ever I go to start battle from the galactic war map it says loading battle under the solar systems description then goes to a blank blue screen, where it would normally do all the loading process and all that, but it just stays blank. Please help me, I'm dying to play PA. My DxDiag can be found here : mediafire.com/view/uk1y3153sajk6m3/DxDiag.txt Thanks, Calum.
An integrated graphics card with 32 (!) MB of dedicated RAM won't be able to run the game properly, I'm afraid. There's another thread where a user somehow does get the game running with a similar model, but is plagued by other issues. What you should try is upgrading your card's drivers, as they date from mid-2013 - but don't expect your problem to vanish.
I've played PA with medium settings before and it worked perfectly, I don't see why this has only just become a problem? And even therefore, I don't think this is a problem of my laptop not being able to handle PA. I think this is a problem of PA itself. My laptop is fully capable of playing planetary annihilation, as it has done in previous builds.
Got a problem, There is no updated version for my laptop. That's the latest. But, do remember the game played before with those drivers.
There's always the possibility that Uber "broke" your machine's ability to run the game by changing the game around. I remember having read somewhere that some of the load the server handled all by themselves now is distributed to the clients as well; no idea whether this is causing your problem, but who knows. I hope someone more knowledgeable comes along - sorry I can't do more .
Interesting, I looked up your processor and it's an Intel Ivy Bridge based Pentium. Although it is only called 'Intel HD graphics' it is based on the HD3000 available on all ivy i3 and i5 chips so really it should be new enough to run the game. I think you might want to double check if newer drivers are available as I think ivy stuff does have newer drivers than that unless I'm missing something. You really need SXX in here to help, he's more knowledgeable on this stuff than me.
Oh well that's awkward, if mines Ivy Bridge then I've been searching wrong. I thought mine was Clarkedale for some reason. :/ Give me a minute.
This should be the correct driver: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?DwnldID=23885&lang=eng edit: according to the notes for the driver (highlighed your processor from DX-Diag): "Supports Intel® HD graphics on: 4th Generation Intel® Core™ Processor Platform 4th Generation Intel® Core™ Processor U Series-based Platform 4th Generation Intel® Core™ Processor Y Series-based Platform 3rd Generation Intel® Core™ Processor Platform 3rd Generation Intel® Core™ Processor U Series-based Platform 3rd Generation Intel® Core™ Processor Y Series-based Platform Intel® Pentium® Processor 1403 v2/1405 v2/2020M/2030M/2117U/ 2129Y/2127U/A1018/G2010/G2020/G2020T/G2030/G2030T/G2100T/ G2120/G2120T/G2130/G2140 Intel® Celeron® Processor 927UE/1000M/1005M/1007U/1017U/1019Y/ 1020E/1020M/1037U/1047UE/G1610/G1610T/G1620/G1620T/G1630 Intel® Pentium® Processor 3550M/3556U/3558U/3560Y/3561Y/G3220/ G3220T/G3320TE/G3420/G3420T/G3430/3560M/G3240/G3420T/ G3440/3440T/G3450/G3258 Intel® Celeron® Processor 2000E/2002E/2950M/2955U/2957U/2961Y/ 2980U/2981U/G1820/G1820T/G1820TE/G1830/2970M/G1840/G1840T/G1850"
