Launch a planet into the sun!!! AGAIN (sorry sincerely necro master monte93)

yeah….. i think you guys get what i mean…. specially as planets get swallowed into the sun now….
plus its the next most awesome thing after landing a planet on a commanders head… sending him and his whole army into the sun!!!

as i see it if you manage to build the engines on a enemy controlled planet you should be able to send it to the sun…

The consensus is, this would be "cool" but incredibly impractical for actual gameplay. Therefore, it is a very low priority.

Can you make a system where there's a planet already inside the sun?

Launch starter planet into said planet, then watch as your planet is consumed by fire...

But HIGHLY unlikely. If you're that screwed, you're not gonna be able to build halleys.

Halleys cost 39,000 metal each. That's the equivalent of 260 basic tanks. If you're that far in the hole, you're not going to build enough Halleys to move a planet. Especially since large planets aren't moveable, and if they were moveable, then you would have to build a bunch of Halleys. You'd be better of building tanks, nukes, SXX, pretty much anything other than the Halley.

Pretty much the only time throwing a planet into the sun would happen would be in two scenarios.

1: Large FFAs, which would still be incredibly unlikely as the Halleys would likely get noticed and destroyed.
2: A troll win when your opponent is holed up and fenced off, so you throw it into the sun. And if you're going to do that, you might as well smash another planet.

So like I said, incredibly low priority.

I just think it will VERY rarely ever happen and is not an overly practical move.

There is simply many things more worth Uber's time.

But isn't it better to have it and not need it than need it and don't have it?

Not if it's completed before something that IS needed, and PA needs a lot still.

No one is advocating that this shouldn't be added.

We're saying that Uber should spend their limited time on other things and instead should work on more important features right now.

i agree, i personally am no programer, therefore would only would push it if its simpler than we think
