From my understanding PA's client is separated into multiple processes one of them runs the actual game renderer (PA.exe). The other ones are the UI (coherentUI processes) so its possible that a process could fail and not restart causing what you saw or similar. It's most likely your mods that is causing this because you have 24 mods loaded. So disable them all and slowly reenable them one by one eventually you'll find the one or combination of them that is causing this. Good luck.
Just got the same bug with blue screen with no planets, but the UI i still there.... Clean PA installation PAMM removed.
That's because reinstalling PA does not remove the mod they're both in completely separate directories. As a result of this mods are still being loaded in to PA. Mod directory C:\Users\"username_here"\AppData\Local\Uber Entertainment\Planetary Annihilation\mods PA directory C:\Games\Uber Entertainment\Planetary Annihilation Launcher\Planetary Annihilation\stable
Are you launching pa.exe with --no-mods? That's the fastest and easiest way to make sure nothing is interfering with your checking things out.
Why didn't I look at your DXdiag. Your driver is out of date and newest is from Jul 29, 2014. Download link: http://www.geforce.com/drivers/results/77224 Brainfarts you got to hate them.
If you know where your PA.exe is - the internet tells me that Windows 7 has the "command prompt here" feature built in, but you have to hold shift while right-clicking the folder. Once you have a prompt in that directory it should be `PA --no-mods`
yeah cant get the no mods thing to work, tryed making a shortcut onto the desktop, and add the --no-mods to the end for the line in "Destination" (shortcut proberties) but is gives an error.
Attention, it's Code: "x:\somefolder\pa.exe" --no-mods with a space between the exe path and the argument. Unfortunately one cannot make a space bold or italic...
Um that's not working. As soon you add PA --no-mods but if you have no command line switch PA launches.
