Are there going to be T3 units added in an expansion pack later on?

Just curious. Right now ti feels a bit like T1 units are useless against T2. I don't know if that's on purpose so newbies like myself have to use more strategy than "queue up 5 units of each vehicle... T1 & T2 and send them into battle", or to keep units counts down by not using T1 bots and vehicles, but it does make me wish for a T3 unit tier, as long as they keep it balanced.

Well if the keep it balanced, then we won't even have a T2.

    More of, additional T1 options.

Well it might not go that way, we will probably still have a stronger T2.

But at the very least make T2 like, slower overall, like to build and even to move.

Mavor has multiple times said he eventually wants to do some form of super-units, but my guess is that they'll be closer to Experimentals than an actual T3, and even then have some crucial differences from SupCom's.

I don't even understand the point of this. Bigger explosions? By the time you build experimentals, I'll be nuking or Halleying you.

you can't get a bigger more deadly destruction machine then a planet being thrown at something ^^ well until we see what metal planets end up doing anyway...

If this is the case the lazer will be reusable and basically the best weapon in the game :) though I do hope to takes alot of energy to fire it...

Here's how I would do it:
    SOLUTION ONE:
75k Energy Cost upfront to fire.
Must Build a certain building to fire (Let's say, for lore's sake, that the metal planets have no power. Thus, you must build X amount of these massive ZP reactors to activate it). These buildings would cost quite a lot to make - a little more than a halley, I think. Maybe 110%.
The energy charges at a maximum rate of Xe a second. Thus, you could limit the firing rate rather easily.

    SOLUTION TWO:
No building necessary, just a majority mex control and a lot of power (At least 75k.)
Same energy charge limit to prevent spamming.

    SOLUTION THREE:
Same as solution one, except the energy charge rate is increased, and the activation buildings explode after firing once. Must rebuild to refire.

I have a pretty good idea.

The metal planets have 2 poles with holes that look like cores.

I think there should be a special orbital platform that you would need to build over each core. They should cost 110k metal. These would drop nuclear power rods into the cores to power the laser.

The laser would be fired for 5 seconds at a planet. A laser designated path would be drawn by the team that powered the laser.

This path would have a maximum length X so the path would not destroy the entire planet and be OP.

The radius of effect would be a little less than a nuke.

I dunno, I think the metal planet should have something a little more devastating. Maybe its laser could core a planet, putting a large hole (maybe the size of a small crater, or a nuke radius) through the middle and out the other side.

All that expense for a line drawn across a planet that isn't as good as a nuke? Uhhh

    Noone would use it.....

It would be much better than a nuke. The line would carve a path in the planet like a tornado.

Maybe the metal cost should be less, like 85k.

How about even less, like 20-40k? If you keep it that high, noone will build it.

Remember guys, cost is the worst way to balance something. Making something powerful for the sake of being powerful is the last thing you should be trying when coming up with stuff like this.

Given all that's happened lately, we should pretty much drop any and all previous assumption we had, we have nothing to go on in terms of making assumptions and until Uber feels we need to know something we're all just shooting in the dark anyways.

    Shooting in the dark?

Let me help you with that.

I literally watched Jon Mavor say in a livestream, "yes, I think we want to make it like a Death Star teeheehee"

:) Stuart, wanna find me that livestream bro??

You still think that is somehow binding, after all that's happened recently?
