Has anybody worked with the chat interface?

Even the stock social doesn't seem to be working well - I rarely see people online, and I don't see my secondary test account online even when it's on the same computer connected to the same game. Since the interface doesn't offer the option to message offline people, I can't really use that to test if messaging is working in the first place.

I tried testing with 2 different accounts, until I realized it stores stuff for one account globally, resulting in utter chaos when used with 2 accounts on the same install. That may be fixed since then and I also have switched to use different localstorages, but I have not investigated more into it. Though I can agree, it seems more or less broken.

What do you use for localstorageurl? I've tried a full filesystem path, but I can't attach to a copy of my main store.

Settings are "by user" now, but there is still some stuff in "global" scope, dunno if it's a problem.
It's easy to look at "localStorage" in the console.

I've seen that. It results in the music playing until I log in. Horribly annoying, but yeah it may fix it. Though I tried yesterday and was still not able to use the jabber stuff at all. Dunno, maybe my local data is still borked somewhere.
