Ingame IRC (not friends chat)

Does anyone else have this button/window that prevents you from doing anything once it's open? Because I have this PA IRC button in the bottom-left corner that says PA IRC and prompts me to connect when I log in. If I try my game freezes. I have downloaded no mods that say they do this in any of their descriptions.

all you have to do is click on the IRC button again. plus the window is dragable and rezisable.

Except that doesn't work. And it just freezes everything.

for you... maybe another mod is conflicting.

try removing some mods. I'd orient you to the mods thread I made where I'd provided the list of the few working mods for build 69564, but it recently got moved and I'm holding out on it's info until it's moved back.

The only mods i'm using are visual ones like team laythe color, and show secondary colors. I'm ok with turning off PA stats for now though.

It's weird that there's an issue on your system and not many other's system.

could you upload a dxdiag?

do you play fullscreen? how long did you wait before you declared it "unresponsive"?

Well the game itself isn't unresponsive, the IRC window is, and I can't close it. Also, I can't move it, and it's right in the way of all the things I want to use.

both are surprising.

normally clicking
the same button that opened it "irc" closes it again. and gabbing any border should allow you to drag, wheras the bottom right corner will resize.

are you certain this is not the behaviour you're getting?

Do you get errors in the coherent debugger? This sounds like something he can fix. What screen are you trying to open it on? Are you somehow not logged in to ubernet?

Right, how do I give a dxdiag on a windows 8? I can't find the "run" console.

EDIT: So I can resize it (not move it around) before I try to log in, but the instant I click "Connect" the IRC freezes.

Just press the windows button and search dixdiag and then press enter!

lol. the "run" bit was added for no good reason.

in windows 8 it's even faster. you hit start then type "dxdiag" and hit enter! presto!

EDIT: dxdiag didn't tell me much except for the screen res, wich is like my second screen.

try scale UI mod and scale the UI down a bit (with "ctrl -"), see if that fixes it.

Which resolution did it give you? Because I have multiple monitors, 2 different resolutions. Also, I don't see how scaling down the resolution will make the IRC not freeze....

P.S. The disney sloth princesses are getting really creepy...

it shows it as your first screen. could you switch the two DVI plugs on your graphic card and try the mod that i told you about, I'm just testing a hunch I have
