It'd be very pointless because, what would robots do with civilization? But still, they could do it if they wanted to.

Civilization for a robot would basically be equal to the bases of PA, but with more advanced things, storage facilities for already built units, repair facilities for mass repair, entire lines of factories constantly creating units, fields of PGens and etc...

@monte93 I'll be honest with you. It's highly unlikely Uber is going to add NPC anything to the game for now. Considering how close launch is. They might in a about 40 years time. Which they do have plans to continue developing PA as long as they have revenue coming in. It would most likely be in a form of mod for something like this.

Dead cities could also be fallen Progenitor cities, with overgrown arcologies, ruined highways, spaceports in disrepair, etc.

its actually a dam shame i do believe the game needs the planets to feel alive. even if its a jumping 2d pixel on the planet surface jajajja

Uber has roughly about 30 employees so they don't have the resources or time to do it at the moment. Yes, it could give some ambience which would be a nicety.

If you left a commander to their own devices, would they just Von-neumann the entire planet into units?

I do understand that and I want the game to be out so bad, but, even if its just lil' bit uber still hasn't given the "finished" stamp so anything can happen..
and putting this ideas on the forum helps (its my belief )
