So, apparently UI is a separate process, which mean I have a choice of rendering it with integrated graphics chip, or real GPU.
So, what is the better option, to render UI using subpar GPU and 3d using actual GPU, or strip away some GPU power from 3d and give it to UI?

It's depend on amount of RAM your system have and VRAM of your dGPU.

If your discrete GPU have like 3-4GB of GDDR3 then you can run Coherent on dGPU, but if your video card only have 1GB then you clearly don't want UI to use it. Though I not sure about 2GB VRAM, but likely it's good idea to leave it all to game because "high" option for "virtual texture" require 1.6GB or more on some planets.

I not sure about current version, but before Coherent used about 200-300MB of VRAM.

For 2gb cards too. I have UI running off the 8gb's of ram. Vram doesn't show in task manager I don't think in W7.

There is GPU vendors tools around that show total video memory usage. You can just make 3 comparisons:
    • VRAM usage without game running.
    • VRAM usage with game and UI running (in-game, not in menus)
    • VRAM usage with Coherent UI processes killed.
As result you'll get some estimated VRAM usage of each component. :)

I've been having Coherent UI Crash CONSTANTLY, and my game also eventually crashes often saying I'm low on memory. However, my RAM is at 36%.. Is it possible my VRAM is getting too full? That'd be.. kinda disappointing because I just bought a GTX 760 2gb upgrade for my 6950 1gb.. and I never had problems with the old card I'm pretty sure.. not sure if it's the latest update though, I didn't have access to my computer for a few weeks as I was moving

I don't have the old card anymore to test, either

Anyone have any ideas on anything I can do to test this or any solutions?

Coherent crashes is problem of everyone here, it's not just you.

For low RAM, can you please make sure you don't have integrated graphics enabled (on current Intel CPUs it's usually remain enabled on desktop MOBOs) in BIOS? For some weird reason Coherent might try to use it even if none applications do.

I ask about that because most popular problem that cause "low memory" error was outdated Intel drivers installed. Though no idea why it's happen.

Is it normal to have this many CohernentUI processes running? Huh2.jpg

    Yes. It's normal.

Number of processes only depend on UI structure which is fully open for modding so technically it's always possible to use less separate "views" in the UI, but Uber go this way with so many processes because it's guarantee lowest latency and a lot more responsive UI on most of systems that have enough RAM. :)
