Tell Us About Your Epic Moments In This Game

Out of all the games I play, Planetary Annihilation definitely has the most "epic moment" type situations. Of course part of the fun of an epic moment is being able to tell others about it! This thread is dedicated to sharing stories about the fun you've had in this game. You are welcome to post as many stories, screenshots and the like as you want but I would advise against simply putting "here's a vid. [LINK]" Of course having a video to complement your tale is completely fine.

I'll start:
This probably isn't the biggest moment I've had in the game but it's currently at the front of my mind. I was playing in an 8 or 9 man FFA on a moon of some size, so there was little chance of conflict in the early game if you took care not to aggravate your neighbours.

Having seen Milkdragon play in the most recent Cloak and Danger tournament I figured that he was the neighbour I had to try and take down before he roflstomped me. My initial attack with T1 vehicles and Boom Bots wasn't enough to damage his economy and the radar told me I shouldn't have poked the strongest opponent in the game. Thankfully Milkdragon had to go and deleted his commander. From then on I focused on T2 eco and units, becoming the strongest player in the game as the opposition were fighting each other.

After defeating yellow fairly swiftly I had half of the moon to myself. The other half was contested between white and pink. As white was closer I sent my full might into his base, with around 8 T2 vehicle factories pumping out units. White's commander survived but his base was no more. I knew very little about pink but due to the fact that he was sending t1 tanks against white I knew he wouldn't be much of a threat. Then I casually scroll to the right of the moon and see some pink fighters.

Haha. What are fighters going to do? There isn't even that many.

Oh no! I'm done for!

Shortly after my commander was blown to smithereens and I hadn't even found white's commander yet. The morals of the story are to build AA and scout moar!


As I said, definitely not my most epic tale but something I wanted to share to get the thread rolling. GG to all of my opponents.

I reclaimed a commander once. When it was worth less metal, with air fabs.

And no, these planets didn't smash into each other. They just went straight through each other. There were 2 moons on the same orbital layer.

i dont have epic moments because the game crashes before i can defeat my enemy. (it's not sarcastic)

I discovered that you can use orbital fabbers to do the same, and reclaimed enemy comm from space Too bad it was a game vs AI.

I had a 8 player ffa and I was the only player to kill another commander. Yes, I killed all 7 players.

This makes me sad.

Well, I had a few. I swarmed a planet with a teleporter and boom bots. Just out of fun, because it was the thing I figured was most likely to cover a planet. Had some gil-e too, didn't need them, booms did a good job of clearing the planet, found the commander, then I clumped them up on him. I am sure they would have killed him anyway.

was my thrid UI crash and F5 stop working. i restart the game but i was already dead.
