I was wondering if this game is multithreaded or if you could get close performance with a G3258 overclocked to 4.5ghz to match lets say an AMD quad core?
As @AyanZo said GPU performance is most important here, can also notice that it's important to have enough RAM and VRAM. E.g if for some reason game out of RAM/VRAM you'll met significant performance loss. Game UI is rendered by ~30 processes so it's can efficiently utilize any number of cores/threads. In same time it's really wrong to compare Intel and AMD CPUs directly because they are too different.
For MP you don't really need more than 8GB because it's what most of players have, e.g those who below 8GB have a problem, yeah. For single player and future offline single player (with own server) I might safely get that extra RAM won't hurt.
I use like 8gb's in AI games like 5gb's in the lobby. I think it's the main reason for my lower framerates
Me too but it was a recent thing that made this. I was running with 4g ram and loading to game immediately, now 8g takes load time and it isn't the status quo, just the current optimization level.
okay I really hope that changes. but I'm happy to see my task bar being completely taken over by tasks for if one crashes the whole game doesn't crash nice to see that. I just really hope they fix it. it is sooo laggy to play thats it's really hard
