facebook wastes space. likewise so does the new PA lobby, when there is absolutely no call for it.

Honestly, it doesn't waste that much space, it leaves maybe an inch on each side. Though maybe that's just my screen resolution, idk.

I find this space to be wasted. there's a lot more options to add and I just hate empty screen space for so called "focusing my view", when me being at an eyesight-healthy distance for the screen should be enough to do that already.

Why did we start making screens wide? because we realised that that's what our viewfield corrsponds more to.

this empty space on the side is nothing but a fad that everyone's following blindly like so many sheeps in a herd. how many times is it now youtube re-did their UI in this last year? when they hadn't felt the need for it in more than once every four years before.

It's getting rediculous. people aren't "in", they aren't "trendy" if their website isn't in the slim format with a single collumn.

and everyone's competing to be the thinnest of all. I don't buy into this, as I've never bought into fashion.

I'd prefer the screen be used border to border as there are alot of options to add anyways, and clutter was a big issue with supcom's lobby UI.

If you are complaining about 2 1-inch wide bars on either side of your screen, then I think that's a bit too much...

Wasting all that space is silly. Planet details on the left, chat on the right maybe? Chat timestamps? Right now all the cut off corners look a bit random. Some boxes have the bottom right cut off, some have both bottom corners cut off, some don't have anything cut off.
