Help, How can I defeat an AI enemy with just a basic vehicle factory when they have aircraft and they sent about 50 planes over at a time to distroy me. I don't even get much time to establish myself before they start attacking. Come on PA, give people a chance!!!! How about giving all the level 1 factories to start with when playing Galatic War? One of the commander load-outs has all factory's unlocked at the start. But a combo of tank AA and static AA should deal with most air threats early on as the AI doesn't rush with bombers too well.
Build anti-air vehicles and missile towers. Try to scout aggressively and start attacking before he gets 50. Now, if you get the Bot Commander loadout, that's trouble. Best strategy I've found is to scout aggressively with engineers building radar (bots have poor vision) and commander-rush so the com can build missile towers in the field. The base is building factories and setting them to rally to commander for constant reinforcements. Works better if you get artillery for grenadiers.
Ok, heres a tip from someone who plays on Relentless, and used the tank builder, i know what u mean, the anti-air you have isn't good enough to beat them when they have Tier 2 air, my biggest tip is, you have the basic vehicle factory, there is no single tech better for rushing the enemy, kill them fast, use flame tanks, do not let bots take full advantage of tier 2 if you are playing Relentless+ - small sized map, theres a good chance its impossible to win certain levels...
I've never really had much trouble with relentless unless the AI manages to fully occupy a moon. vehicle AI in decent numbers rips basic air to shreds. I actually find them easier on small planets, it lets you attack them earlier. Absurd on the other hand, is well, absurd.
reguardless, speed is the solution when veh. tech is the only thing available to you. Its unfortunate if the enemy gets T2 bombers due to their abnoxious range can make them difficult to take out, but all the things you can trip over by trying can be trumped by trying to kill them early and yeah. small planets definately do help Edit: Originally made no sense, must of not had enough energy and missed a few words...
