you guys seriously need to fix crashing. i know you say it might be something with my sound driver etc. well all my drivers is updated an NO im not gonna play without my usb headset. im playing with some friends over teamspeak. i do realize this is beta but this have gone on for weeks now, you should make it first priority to stop crashing or at least a proper reconnect. everyrime i crash or sometimes just try to relog cuz the building menu disapears it crashes INSTANT on reconnect. just a big fat screen of the star of the system and then pa stopped working. every ******* time. **** new units, ram optimization, your lunch and everyhting else. just fix the game so it dont crash, usb headset or not. and when it crashes make sure people can reconnect.
I got AMD and I have encountered quite a lot of crashes lately... Have to say it's a bit annoyance but good to see it's under investigation. [edit]Drivers are up to date.[/edit]
Such statements mean nothing because there is several ways you can fail driver update. Better upload DxDiag instead.
...and I was wrong of my up to date drivers. I got only second latest update. Downloading latest driver now and if it still crashes, I upload my DxDiag.
Played one game and got crash (again). This time it was after game when I clicked "return to main menu".
Nothing interesting in DxDiag except you have two graphics cards (should not be related because PA only use one). Can you please check this topic and upload your game log with crash dump? http://steamcommunity.com/app/233250/discussions/2/648814845443326834/
i just tried to run the pte it says new build available 68767 but the pte one is supposed to be 68772. i pressed "later" but then there is no games at all. is it broken or am i doing something worng? or is there just no player online?
1. Known bug, the game doesn't really know which stream it came from to check the right version. Workaround: https://forums.uberent.com/threads/rel-version-warning-once.60620/ 2. Typically there are no open lobbies on PTE. Perhaps you could try posting on the PTE 68772 thread to see if you can get some more players on. (I expect to be busy all day)
I'm using a Logitech USB headset and I haven't run into any issues I could directly relate to using it. I do have a crash every now and then and reconnect should indeed be made more stable. One tip: if your build menu disappears, don't quit but hit F5. One suggestion: are you using an overlay plugin for teamspeak? If so, there is a tiny chance PA doesn't like that. Good luck!
im pretty sure its not the headset. im playing with a freind and he has the exact same problem and he is not even using a headset. he is using speakers and a standing microphone connected to the motherboard. we have the same computer except i got 580 sli and he only have one. we have diffrent keyboards and mouse. i think it's something to do with interacting with orbital units. its always when we get to the point of expanding to other planets and starts to send orbital units. when we play on system with only one planet we almost never crash. i feel like its something that have happened in the game because it wont let me enter again. like a unit who have some error so every time the game comes to reload that unit it crashes. or something like that. also when we play shared army it happens at Exact same time and both of us cant relog, therefore i think it has something to do with units.
Thats interesting, in that case, try to determine what action (building, movement, attack, whatever) appears to cause the crash. Guess uber would als be interested in the lobby ids of the games that crash.
