GC's Diary Post #3 "Unwashed and Somewhat Slightly Delayed" Part 1/2



First up are some picture of Washington State Route 11. Or more commonly known as Chukanut Drive.

Chukanut Drive is an absolutely stunning detour you can take while heading north through Washington that goes along a cliff in the Chukanut Mountains that overlooks Samish bay and the surrounding islands, the area is also known for it's clamming and oysters so it is a really good place to go eat them or dig them.

And here is a nice visual
Also at the top of this map you'll notice a very unlucky city that wishes they were just part of Canada. I have talked to people in Point Roberts and they don't like it.

Here are some pictures of Bellingham Bay from the Lummi Indian Reservation with Mt. Baker in the background. On the actual night of the 4th I was unable to take pictures because there was to much smoke because the entire length of the beach is filled with bonfires and Indians setting of ludicrous amounts of fireworks. And we also get to watch the Bellingham show that goes on across the lake.



And a rabbit I saw while hiking.

looks like northern ontario where most of us go camping.. or maybe what british columbia looks like.. aka our version of colorado.

Mainly every usa state has a clone of it in canada...

New york/Toronto (big city lights)
Washington/Ottawa (parliment)
LA/Vancouver (crime captials)
Texas/Saskatchewan (rednecks and hilbillies)
Boston/Newfoundland (drunks and fishermen)
Mexico/Northwest territories (mexicans/indians and natives)
Florida/Niagara Falls (tourist attractions)

Still don't know what quebec would be to usa.. its a snowy area infested with french people who wish they owned to country and turned it into france.

As for south park references of what canada is some are spot on while others are quite off...
me being close to the boarder and being in the states and erie/washington/syrucuse its not much different.
Tho people can tell your canadian from your accent or the way you dress or look...
