Why can't we see metal spots in the system editor?

This is something really annoying, every time I'm designing a planet i have to start an AI game to see the metal distribution on the planets. Can the guys at Uber make the metal apear on the preview? That doesn't seem like a hard thing to do and it would make life a lot easier to people designing systems.

IIRC, metal spots are spawned in depending on how many players there are.

If you play a 1v1 the metal spots will be different than a 3v3.

Can anyone remember if that's the case?

I'm not too sure about this. As far as I can tell, the only metal spots that depend on the number of players are the 5 metal points added at spawn points. Displaying the other metal points should be possible in the system editor I think. Also, the new "land anywhere" setting doesn't seem to spawn any 'spawn point' metal clusters, so I suspect it would accurately show metal points in those cases.

    Interesting.

Maybe I'm remembering wrong or they changed it.

Either way, it would be nice to see metal spots in the system editor, one way or another.
