But your hard work was still seen, if you didn't lose anything what is the problem? They got a raise worth less than yours for a completely separate reason. They still don't even make what you make!

Many in our materialistic society do.

I'm thinking I might just suggest we all ignore this retarded argument just on principle.

    We'll see.

Errr, most likely, your boss said the same thing to everyone so they feel good and work harder.

I though that even if it was implicit it was clear.

I see that in our materialistic society, some that think they are outside of it are rude.

I would like you to be respectful. It's not because you don't agree that it's retarded.

Now you're just changing the story to make it work towards you more, even if so, I'd still feel happier that I was paid more. If he congratulates everyone, but I'm paid more, he obviously thought I did the best.

The only thing I have to say with the whole debacle is this.
Uber used the model of the Progenitor as a base to create the Able commander. One to support charity.

    - On one hand, it feels like a backhand to those who have the Progenitor.
    - On the other, the commander is visually different (ignoring the model base), and helps a good cause to boot.

I don't think anyone is against the cause of charity, noble as it may be, and noone seems to be worried about the commander itself. It's not even commander model that's the problem, though most people post that way. It's the idea of exclusivity that feels betrayed by many. I can feel that pain, I've been in those shoes before. Do I care about the Able? Yes. Do I care that it's similar? Definitely. Am I posting around raising hell on the forums about this? Hell no.

I own the Progenitor thanks to the Collector's Limited Edition. $250 down the drain. I'm not even supposed to have the Progenitor Commander, but due to a bug that Uber let slide, I do. Thanks, by the way. I may not have funded the Kickstarter, but I know what I did fund.

I funded the future of RTS with emphasis on Strategy.
I funded an RTS on a scale unprecedented.
I funded the idea of games not needing publishers. We are the publishers. The players.

I may not agree with some things Uber does, but you know what? I funded Awesome.
And I hate to see awesome ripped apart by bullshit. This game deserves better than that, and you all know it.

    All of you.

    Edit'd : because I can't spell

Regardless of this entire discussion... how on earth does THIS post not count as inflammatory and worthy of a ban? How does this not count as provocative? How is this not everything Brad and others claimed worthy of bans and deletions?

You tell us it's not censorship, Uber, but then people who side with you seem to get a free pass on calling those with legitimate concerns children. Calling them stupid. Questioning their purchasing decisions.

Seriously... this is ridiculously inconsistent and just allowing the free bashing of those voicing these concerns is almost as concerning as the Able commander itself...

To be fair, it is 4:30 in the morning right now at the Uber office. They will probably not be too happy about the post when they wake up but I think they haven't seen it yet.

    *Edit*
You can use the report button to report posts that you think are against the rules and a dev or a moderator will make a decision about it.

I'm guessing this will get locked and/or deleted, as it probably should. But it was a Sunday.

It's surprising that they stayed off the forums for all of Sunday when there's this controversy going on.

I'm locking this thread (perhaps somewhat belatedly) because it's a duplicate of many others on the same topic and is extremely negative in tone.

Please continue any discussion of the Able commander in this thread and please try to keep the discussion there civil and the tone constructive.
