Definitely not this simple, it seems the only models the community (namely the guys with the RCBM) have gotten through are ones with very simple rigs, only one bone I believe.

Ah ok, I do 3-D CAD modelling but I've never really looked into the game side of things (so animation rigs and such)...

We can technically get a model in super easily, the rig however always breaks :/

Honestly I've always had issue with the mountain biome. the ground texture is just kinda bland and it's usually just a random black splotch with one mountain in it

Would have to agree, but also extend it to the other biomes. Though yes they do al seem to have their own 'gimmick' to an extent i.e. metal planets with lots of narrow chokes and air poles etc, but lava seems like it only servers to be a 'no naval ever' map type while desert, earth etc all seem to be pretty standard.

However I think the issue at the moment is the scaling and it has already been said that this would take a ton of work to change *sad face* but having say Large rocks in desert compared to smaller more frequent ones in the other biomes etc would, a mon avis, make different biomes sufficiently different.

I want the old HDR back. Rotated bones are a problem, but the blender exporter can handle any amount of bones fine - I believe that problem is with the FBX export from either Blender or (for some people) 3Ds Max.
I had units in-game before RCBM was a thing

The other, esoteric, option, is to create the model for Total Annihilation and use my converter once it's released ;)

Are you suggesting you can make models in blender and use the .papa exporter without issues?

Does this not count? Seems pretty "original" to me ;)

Yes, for certain definitions of "without issues" :p (namely non-rotated bones).
It's how I fixed the model for YourLocalMadSci (the screenshot below was the unit after being exported from blender):

Well that makes me feel incredibly stupid. I was under the impression that it was only good for importing units. That's why I was so surprised to see you resizing units with blender.
