So, I'm still doing my first galactic war, and I just got access to super-weapons. I've noticed a few problems.

The first is that I can't build nukes. That is when I select the launcher there's no option to build nukes.

The second is that I can't actually select a planet when i try to use rockets to smash a planet.

Anyone having any of these problems? Have the controls changed drastically?

for planet smashing you should be able to press a button that says annihilate in the solar system view. At the top right there should be red circles near the planet names, click on the planet you want to send the KEW to.

The nuke part, do you have the t2 tech for engineers?

He has the launcher; it appears he can't build the nuke itself... Try removing all mods see if that helps.

I know how to do these things, they just aren't working.

    Pictures or it isn't true!

Not actually trying to be an bum, just difficult to understand what your issue is without an image of the problem. As you can see by the past two posts, people are just shooting out ideas with no idea or clue as to what the actual problem is...

Not that they aren't actually trying to be helpful, my Canadian need to apologize is kicking in, just a small suggestion that might help for some real diagnostics to happen.

I tried both of your problems in my GW campaign. They worked fine for me. Try doing what drewsuser said if you are using them.

Well, I won the war so it's gonna have to wait until I do another one and get the super tech again. I tried to replicate it in a normal game, but they work just fine there. I'm thinking it has something to do with an update that happened mid-war. I don't know.

Just an fyi, this really did happen, and I'm not a noob at this game, I've probably been playing longer than anyone who's responded to this thread so the, "did you press annihilate?" or "did you build a t2 fab for the launcher" type questions are really just going nowhere.

My question was, did this happen to anyone else? If it did, let me know...

I also can't really explain it more clearly. I built a nuke launcher and there was no option to build more in the lower menu where you typically can select which unit to make. When I click annihilate, I can't actually select a planet. I can click all I like but it just would stay in selection mode.

Thanks for the attempts to help!

    Hi,
It happened to me too in the GW. It was doing the same thing as you.. I could select it but did not see anything in the menu below.

It saw the animation of it building a nuke (missile).

When I selected it, the entire planet had a red hue (like I could target anywhere on the planet), but there was not a button to actually fire the thing.

I finished that GW and started a new one.. Will try as soon as I get it again

There is no special button to launch nukes, you just give it an attack command where you want it to hit.

    Ah!
Thanks for that... I guess it changed since last time I had built nukes. I was able to launch a nuke on the same planet by selecting the nuke launcher and then right click on an enemy target. I will try for a interplanetary one next time I have the chance!
