Forgive me if I missed that topic being started in the past, but I couldn't find one.

I've just started anihilating stuff in multiplayer and from time to time I hear people arguing "Invictus is the fastest, Nemicus is the strongest, no, Aeson is..." etc, etc. So- what are the (if they even are, at first place) differences beetwen commanders in PA? I will be truly grateful for real numbers, not just keywords like "best", "worst" and so on.

All Commanders are exactly the same.

The skins are just that, skins and skins only.
    corteks and zweistein000 like this.

I dont think there are any changes what so ever planned for the actual stats of the commanders.

want to check with you, are all the weapons contribute to the total dps? Why I see sniper have two weapons.

The only thing that may change in time is the way weapons look based on the type of arm you commander has. So for example it he has a laser arm, he will shoot a laser, if he has an uber cannon, then it's a cannon and if he has a missile, then he fires a missile, but all the weapons will work exactly the same and have identical stats.

Sniper bots can shoot down tactical missiles. However you currently can't make it so that a single weapon can shoot both units and entities. So the sniper has two different weapons, one for units and one for tactical missile.

maybe the one for tactical missile is 1 or 0 dmg cos it shouldn't be considered as actual dsp right?

Doesn't matter. Missiles don't have "health" per say, the shot does nothing so complicated as that; it just removes the missile from the game instantly upon contact. Same effect as anti-nukes on nukes.

Are you sure you can't? What about anti-air? All you do is give it the WL_land and WL_Air (I could be wrong about the part before the underscore but you know what I mean) it's more probable that they just couldn't make it do separate damage for the two entities which is why it had two weapons (and Amo types)

Have a look at the files. It does have WL_Air along with "auto_task_type":"anti_entity". That means it will auto attack named entities in the air layer.

Your second point makes no sense. Both weapons do the same amount of damage.

Dang it Squishy, ya could have just looked at the code for some odd bits.

I wonder if it would be possible to give missiles health and for multiple projectiles to be used to take down a missile.

If that were true, why would Uber be using such a " hacky " way to implement anti-missile weaponry?

Couldn't you make the missile a unit, give it the self destruct weapon, and put it in the air layer or something?

I'm at the zoo, give me a break. :p

Again, units and ammo behave differently. So no, it doesn't work. You can't just copy over ammo-specific flags into a unit and expect it to work the same way.

The idea would fit with how the boom works. The only thing that wouldn't work is that you'd be able to order the missile directly most likely.

(The boom actually has an extremely short range weapon)
