We don't have additional command line logging. Everything we log gets put into ~/Library/Application Support/Uber Entertainment/ ... There are separate folders for PA, the Launcher, etc. In each one, you'll find a log folder that can have additional information on what may be happening if encountering problems.
Played a game against one AI, nice 120+ fps on an AI swarmed planet with limited vision and 55+ fps with full vision Server was running full speed all the time. No graphical glitches seen, the ones I have in the main build, black craters and lines sometimes, seem to be fixed. Played on a GTX770 and an I5 4690k
PA has a --help option, the launcher may as well. Few extra debugging options; I used them to guess which scene was crashing coherent (the old culprit view 9 was usually selection bar) , but otherwise it didn't seem too useful.
@raevn got most of it. - New AI personality levels, and priority_scount_metal flag - Changes to personality management in lobby. - Camera controls no longer have defaults - Default select-commander changed to alt+c - New array input_audio_response_overrides; used but I don't see it set anywhere. Edit: - Landing effect removed, although trees still have progressive removal.
Blue icons in build bar looks little weird. Anyone find out how to open console because Ctrl+P doesn't seems to work and jQuery console doesn't appear too. PS: Looks like there some problem with all Ctrl+ hotkeys on Linux.
Improved: - GW Build bar is back - Advanced mex icons don't flicker. New bugs: - holes in mex icons don't line up with metal spot on seas. - AI sent commander to another planet, and never moved it. - AI using air defensively instead of oppressing my defenseless bots. Mixed feelings because it doesn't push me anymore. - If you review in GW, the menu offers Abandon War, but not Return to War. - When I then selected Quit PA, I got the confirm dialog, but neither option exits; black screen. - I then attempted to cycle through settings to reset it; stuck on generating planets.
I think for naval buildings they should have the drop down line like orbital, so that it would be easier to line up mexes. I sit and fiddled for a few extras seconds trying to place one in water. Infuriating yo. (I get the reason why it is like that but still)
Oh, and I still have to tap a key (usually release-press shift) in order to place buildings after using the hotkeys.
Fixes PA#3640 - Unable to type period '.', right angle '>', double quote ", or underscore '_' Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to include the Command key, so OS X is without copy/paste again.
New bugs in this PTE-patch: - No visual explosion when AI commander dies (only sound) - Build menu disapered after 10-12 minutes (so then I couldnt build anything new) - Free cam has changed from last patch. When I press H I get free cam but when I look around with the mouse the cam is not linked to the horizon. - Had to reengage fabs many times (they forget what I have told them to build) I havent had these errors in the last PTE-build
Thanks for the additional info - as a note, changes to free cam are not bugs. We're trying to extend the usability of the free cam.
Nevermind, i forgot only the metal spot icons were missing and unit icons were fine Ships have a hard time hitting ground targets.
Hey, just for the record, since I didn't get a response last time: The projection mode BP_Bend seems to have changed. It used to take terrain height into account for the deformation, but no longer does. Ironically, this is a projection mode I was probably going to ask about at some point (this behavior was actually what I was looking for when I made my cliffs mod). Anyway, it seems odd to me that BP_Bend has been changed (instead of adding a new projection mode or something) when this has a noticeable negative effect on many brushes at the moment (especially when height range is relatively high).
Hey @garat ! Tell your Graphic guys that I can actually see healthbars and progress bars in the PTE now (ATI RAdeon HD 4670 here). Still missing are the weapon recharge bars, N and south pole markers, mex spots, spawn numbers and I haven't been able to test the celestial yet. Still I thank them for doing something about it, I thought that my card was too old for them to do any fixing. Also this is a question for you or @metabolical : Have the small side turrets of the battleship seen any bone or animation work? EDIT: Yea still no celestial icons.
Though for now UI looks more stable, but didn't have time to play proper game yet. Anyone else checked it on Linux?
Also, just confirming that UI mouseover effects are still very slow to respond. Using build menus still feels clumsy because of it. Does anyone else have this problem?
