Galactic War - no middle ground

    Most battles are vs 1 opponent. These are ok if it is 1v1, but the occasional battle against 3 or more opponents (the 'boss' maps) means having sub commander tech is very important. This tech makes the normal vs 1 maps trivial and a bit of a snoozefest.

    Any chance of more medium content to bridge the gap between the two extremes? e.g. with 2 commanders, or the opponent commander starting on a different world, or even a choice to not deploy your sub commanders.

    As it currently is, I find myself having to afk 'farm' a few maps just to get to the bosses (indeed I am writing this whilst alt-tabbed out of one right now) but if I wanted to make the game more interesting and not have sub commanders then the boss maps would be next to impossible.

    Any thoughts?

    Play on a harder difficulty, with sub-commanders. Part of the difficulty increase is that more enemy commanders may be present, but this also applies to boss battles.

    Ah I didn't realise that. I thought difficulty would just affect the AI like in a skirmish, not the number of commanders. That sounds much better - I don't mind being outnumbered on the boss battles, but I would just like a bit of a challenge elsewhere.

    Awesome - off to re-roll (I have unlocked the Commander tech pack so that will help) :)
