... So for the same price I paid for the Kickstarter one and a half years ago people can buy it now *and* have early access, while I need to wait for the final game?
I can understand it, but I am a bit disappointed. I mean, I grant everyone this game for a good price, but I feel a bit ... left behind, like this.

Dude, everyone got access to PA that payed months ago. It should be there for you to play, if not contact support. I do mean contact support, because you should have what you payed for.

I love Uber, and all, but they really should've made sure that there's additional server capacity standing by for this.

Now we're going to get the rage threads again.

They use Amazon cloud servers, so as more people get on, new servers spin up.

So blame Amazon, not Uber.

I'm not blaming anyone.

I don't mind, if this happens, I do have a basic understanding of the nature of running such a system and completely understand that downtime and errors happen and they can't necessarily control it.

But the boatload of people who love judging after 20 seconds don't. And this isn't the first time this happens. Happened in the last sale. If I have a contractor or a service provider, and this happens once, I step on their balls and keep standing on it until I'm sure this won't happen again.

Definitely when I'm running a business that relies on a very easily judging, very vocal group of people with easy access to online review sites and the likes for income.

I'm just desperate to see Uber and PA succeed, as I love the game, and the dev team are awesome.

People are now complaining that the price is too low, and that it somehow undermines backers... despite them not even being backers, or having purchased the game at all. And then you have posts demanding that the entire game needs to be playable for free so that they can 'decide if they will buy it'.
Looking through all those discussion posts... man, is the average steam discussion user really this entitled / conceited? Some of these posts are mind blowing.

Yup, that's why I stopped going there after about a week or so. I just had enough of explaining things for the 20th time.

It seems only a certain group of people takes the time to post there.


But yea, uber uses amazon servers and they should spin up new ones as needed. However, it's hard to predict *how* popular a game will be during a sale. That's why i don't download "play free for 2 days" games because it takes so long to download, two days will be over before it's there. because hundreds of thousands of people click the install button together.

Oh, I did not know, must have missed that update? With so many updates you tend to skip a few (although they could've made that a bit more clear, I'm probably not the only one).
I thought I had to wait for the final.
