Vanguard Community Consultations

Hmmm...why are the (former ?) Vanguards not marked as Vanguards anymore and why has the Vanguard newsletter been removed from the pinned posts ?

In some ways the program worked really well, in others it didn't work so great. It was a cool experiment, and in the future we may potentially give it a shot again.

At the end of the day, we're here to listen -- and to react when we can to your feedback. The Vanguard's mission was to bring elements of the community to our attention, and the community totally has it.

I understand this decision

I would like to add that I would like something like the Newsletter to be kept.
It was always an interesting read and it was a great way to get the team's view on some of the matters that moved the community without hunting down individual forum posts and trying to get some insight into what Uber actually thinks.

I agree with this.
Even if it was changed to a developer newsletter instead, it'd be nice to have every now and then.

meh, I sat in on 1 consultation, I didn't really like the format of the consultation and I don't think it helped in regard that they weren't being actively recorded.

They just sort of happened and dissipated. For future vanguards, it would help to just have some recording of events so people know that things are happening.

Just so you know, each event was recorded. However there wasn't much content to the recordings so it wasn't worth putting them up.

That's great that it was being recorded. I didn't know that. Maybe you guys should post the results regardless of depth of content. No content from a Consultation is worse then some content. Even if it was one sentence, I would like a forum post stating the results of the consultation. I would really appreciate it.
