I just recently redone my OS as a refresh and of course i had to download the uber down loader.. Installed it ect then when i went to click on it.. it started and just stayed minimized for ages in till i closed it..

It only started working correctly when i switched the compatibility to Win7 with out any service packs? Is this a issue anyone else has come up when reinstalled PA?

my windows was fully updated at the time with drivers ect ect

if Uber wants a dx file then they just need to message me because a bug like that is pretty bad

you can send it here directly instead.

are you sure about the drivers? CD graphic drivers aren't the right ones.

what's up with all these single threads.

Never said anything about using CD graphic drivers..

But like i said i have got it working but many more people may not know that they have to change it to the setting i listed in case it does bug out.

you could still upload your dxdiag since this is not normal behavior, PA is not supposed to be run in compatibility mode.

You need a dev reply to upload your dxdiag? Why, exactly? Our support forum has a lot of helpful people in it, not just us. They can typically answer most questions. We're not a big studio, so sometimes waiting for a dev to reply can take a while, as we don't see every post coming in. :)

95% of the machines in this office are Win 7 64 SP1. I'm one of the few people on Windows 8. Most of our audience - probably 70%+, are on Win 7 64 bit SP1.

Did you install Direct X by any chance? Or just using the default libraries included with the Windows install?

Anyone with the process on obtaining and posting a dxdiag in their signature, deserves some sort of marker showing their helpfulness in peer support. Because everyone has the same problem, except SXX. It is a good thing he has special attention too, because he is the best support person.

Yes, I can confirm this. Compatibility mode fixed it for me as well. Took me a while to find this unintuitive workaround : it's not like PA is an old game. :)

    Same here.

Also, since nobody else had reported this issue, I tried to spot a particularity about my configuration that could cause this. The only thing I could find is network related : there is a non-transparent proxy server on my LAN and I have to use a tunnel (openvpn) to play. Maybe you're using a tunnel (Frozenway ?) or there's a proxy on your LAN too ?
Coherent-UI is based on webkit. Some weird proxy autoconfiguration could be going on, except in compatibility mode.
