    When I try to start PA from the launcher, I get an error stating "LoadLibrary failed with error 87: The parameter is incorrect" and the launcher then closes down. I don't think this is a graphic card issue, though I am running and old Raedeon HD 4800 card. I have updated my graphics driver and tried running the launcher as an administrator, with the same error each time.

    Any suggestions? DxDiag attached.

    Hey guys,

    Uber customer support couldn't help me out with this problem either, but with a bit more extra searching, I have found a solution. The error is a registry error associated with windows 8.1 beta that I was running. Combined with my ATI card it was giving me this error. You need to change the registry for this, but one you do it works just fine. Create a registry file with the following:

    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4d36e968-e325-11ce-bfc1-08002be10318}\0000]
    "OpenGLVendorName"=hex(7):61,00,74,00,69,00,6f,00,36,00,61,00,78,00,78,00,2e,\
    00,64,00,6c,00,6c,00,00,00,61,00,74,00,69,00,6f,00,36,00,61,00,78,00,78,00,\
    2e,00,64,00,6c,00,6c,00,00,00,00,00

    Once it is run, the game works great.

    You'd better try clean drivers re-install first. E.g remove old graphics drivers, then restart PC, then install most recent drivers again.
