It's fine, like I said I'd like to get a bit more frequency in that regard but we want to do it in such a way that's not being a hindrance, we want to help solve issues, not create them! :D

So I'll be hanging out in the TeamSpeak Channel (188.226.190.9) starting now(11:00AM PST) while working on my Custom Commander, might even fire up a basic twitch stream maybe?

why is this unpinned, Did I do something worng and you never want to talk to me ever again? /jk

no honestly this is one of the rare bits of really useful community interaction. I know it's useless if it's just me everytime but if we up the ante a bit I'm sure much more people will come and replace me.

Uber do try to keep the Stickies manageable, at times we've had 12+ stickies and it can be just a bit of a mess really.

Having this stickied was nice to get things rolling but when we do this we post in the thread still so it is visible and all that, keeping this as a Sticky would be nice, but not strictly needed.

Hey guys we've got another VCC happening in one hour from the time of this post, in the mean time we do have a couple vanguards chilling out in our Teamspeak server(188.226.190.9) and at some point I'll probably be streaming myself working on some 3D stuff as well.

Just a quick reminder, we are here now if anyone has any questions they want to ask, or any issues they want to raise.

I know it is often a ghost town, but I would like to remind you to hold these prior to making an agenda. I may not be active in "forum politics"... gag... what a mundane concept, forum politics... ...but if I were it would be the only way I am aware of to submit my collection of forum events to bring up.

Here's a quick one I'd like to know while I was reminded that this thread exists. And these are actually realistic questions (well two of them):

Will orbital have more distinct icons to distinguishmthem from masses of untis underneath? Such as a white border?

Will persistent icons for scouted enemy buildings happen?

And a less realistic one: will air units move around in a 3rd dimension, or will they stick to a more or less 2D plain of activity? (This is primarily an aesthetic thing.)

Persistent icons for scouted buildings is a confirmed addition. They confirmed it in one of their livestreams. That massive 17 hour one if I remember correctly.

Well, the thing is that specifically we stopped doing the VCC sessions after a month of not having any non-Vanguard Attendance, in fact if you look at the dates on the posts here you can see no-one has even posted here for over a month. If we could get some commitment to it to match what would similarly be required from the Vanguards we would be more than willing to resume them. We had even hoped to expand on the concept but with such a lack of interest it just wasn't worthwhile unfortunately.

I posted it here to bring the questions to your attention.

Don't forget, if you guys as a group don't actively push this thing, of course there will be a lack of interest. The active users of this forum change constantly, and I think the majority of them don't actually know what you're about.

This is anecdotal of course, but apart from a small group of core posters, I don't see the majority of people around at all from the time I joined for example. But we do have a lot of new people. They just need to be steered in.

He is talking about the Consultations here. Vanguards were present, the community was not. So why bother continuing is pretty much what he is saying and I agree. People that are interested in becoming members should have shown up to these meetings at the very least.

We were actively pushing the VCCs for well over a month and while the first meeting had a few people show up, the rest were basically ghost towns despite the VCC being initially a community driven concept and I feel we did put in a fair amount of effort, usually having 3 or more Vanguards present for at least and hour each time.

The initial idea was much the same idea as what we do with Uber in that using something like Teamspeak makes for a much better quality of discussion and allows for a much Bandwidth:time ratio compared to regular forum posting and such but despite being available it wasn't used unfortunately.

If sufficient interest is returning we would be glad to hold a VCC on this coming Sunday the 22nd at the usual time as per the First Post. We will need to get updated info for the Where/How but we can work that out.

    Ah. Got'cha.

Meh. The Vanguards haven't let in a single new member before. They've claimed they're gonna get some new people months ago – but then nothing happens.

I'll actually try to be there, but I can give no guarantees due to my line of work. That's why foruming works for me. I'm doing sound on a conference right now, where I can type but not talk.

As I said, I recommend giving it a run, there seem to be lots of newbies with tons of ideas since the last update and sale.

Edit: I work events, and the golden rule is: people will show up if you advertise the thing enough. Or if there's free food.

If you can feed me through the internet, then I don't know why you haven't started yet!

I will make sure to either be there, or post a list here. I can't say I have any personal interest with any single development question, but I am used to listing the abundance of ones I see in the forums. They are more or less going to do that anyway, but I am going to do it anyway, I don't mind doing so even if it is double-work.
