Vanguards really OP. Nerf it! In fact, he has AOE blaster as the commander. But the commander has a cooldown, and Vanguards Unlimited shoots. I think that a machine with such a powerful weapon, which basically destroys any building or unit, hell even on the area should have some restrictions
according to one of the dev's playtests, metal-to-metal it's fair. it's power lies in that when you're not prepared it can kill you, but when you are you kill it with ease. so it's a strategy thing.
Vanguards aren't really overpowered, infernos on the other hand are overpowered. Their health and damage potential relative to their cost is insane.
The Vanguards have the same DPS as they used to, but AOE effect. A single Vanguard can take out an army of 100 Infernos and Ants. That seems OP to me.
To argue on behalf of Uber, that is the mistake you made. I think it's too soon to call it OP. Uber's said that metal-to-metal they're not that OP, so there may be some aspect to it we haven't discovered. it's been a few days. Strategy takes more time to turn around.
being mauled by a vanguard? there are some things you can do: 1 - gunships. can't kill what it can't shoot 2 - back the **** up, and kite his arse 3 - Gil-E, Leveller, Sheller. outrange that fool 4 - a second Vanguard. ultimate smackdown
Considering a vanguard can potentially kill 100 units in one shot that actually is quite a problem...
Its possible though, get a clump of 100 dox and if they end up facing a vanguard and your not paying attention they're pretty much guaranteed death.
I don't think 100, That sounds more like 50 in that space to me. Also, if that's what you're doing with your units, then you're going to lose anyway. That's an incredibly hypothetical situation.
I think it needs more analysis. But if you are getting owned by vanguards (losing 100 of units...) chances are you got out teched.
