How exactly do you change your AO level? There was a mod post about a possible mod shortly after they fixed the too dark issue, but I overlooked it at the time and now I can't find it again. The standard is too bright, so I'd like to play around with it to find a darker night that is still playable.

If you're using Steam the path is:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Planetary Annihilation\media\pa\terrain

You then need to open the 'desert/earth/lava/metal/moon/tropical' files. Look for:

"ambient":{"hdr_intensity":1.0,"ldr_intensity":1.0,

And change those values. I changed them to 0.65.

Just copy-paste this into each one's place if you want that:

What is that? Is that a commander? I can't figure it out.

• team color fabber

Have you tried using the Statera balance mod? We have better effects and more units, which I think should result in better screens. If you have any feedback about the effects do voice it.
