Possibility of some kind of Mega Unit.

    Remember, there IS a difference between a Super/Mega/Experimental Unit and a Unit that is simply large as a by product of what it does or how it does it.

    Forgive me for not researching the topic before hand! :oops: But I feel like T2 units are pretty useless against the T1's advantage of numbers. I've overwhelmed further developed enemies with masses of T1, and so far the only T2 that even stands a chance against hoards of bots is the Leviathan since it's pretty much the only giant unit in the game right now.:)

    I would like to see some kind of experimentals in PA and also think it can be balanced. Maybe some units that are more T3 than experimentals are a better plan. They should be very expensive and only be viable in late games. Also they should not be able to move between planets.

    Some bigger and more diversity of (very advanced) units would make the game more interesting and the battles more epic!

    Uber should just experiment with bigger (powerful) units in the PTE build and see how the PA players respond. I understand the devs have other priority's right now, but later on.....

    That....doesn't really mean anything thought. Look at SupCom, the Monkeylord wasn't significantly different from other units. For example you see the same types of differences between T1 and T2 as you do T2 and T3, or T3 and "Experimentals", it's not a black and white thing, there isn't a set "threshold" that a unit is suddenly classified as an Experimental or anything.

    it never really mattered to me,me and alot of other folks call them t4s and not experimentals even though that's their designated name.

    I think there is quite a distinction between full-on expansion packs like The Core Contigency was or 15$ DLCs which feature 2 maps and a single unit.
    I'd love to see a full PA expansion one day.

    DLC is downloadable content.

    Im not a fan of small amounts of content either, and would prefer to buy large bundles instead.

    That said, I don't mind mixing and matching the commanders I want to buy.

    he is talking about DLC...
    is because some games like BF-3 and now BF-4 have soo much DLC's w/ a big prices that DLC are considered
    low content for a great prices

    what does that megaunit do normal units, structures or a combination of both can´t?
    consider this is a macrogame, people don´t realy want superpowerfull units that turn this game into more micro ...

    To my understanding, uber aren't planning on releasing any super units themselves. However the engine does support super units so they will be possible for modders to implement.

    There is also the possibility uber might release there own in a post release update.

    It would probably be better to say there isn't anything in particular that would prevent their implementation in the current engine. On a base level all the that really needs to be done is to make a big model but I'm sure there are a lot of edge cases that exist for larger more complex units that preclude from me saying it's "supported" as it were.

    There used to be a limit on weapons per unit I believe. That is definitely not the case now. I love how the leviathan is a monster, that was the most fun thing to play with in my Naval Redux mod. It has 12 weapons, and I believe it in fact has 2 weapons with bones that aren't used. Dude, give that thing shorter range machineguns.

    I think by dlc he meant update... Uber have said they intend to keep supporting and developing pa after the official release.

    There is also the possibility of a paid expansion, something akin to supcom fa, which I would have no issue buying.

    I was more thinking of Core Contingency for TA kinda thing ;-) A Major Expansion pack for the existing game. Possibly with not only new units, but a new gameplay mode? Ya never know :3

    wait, what FA gave more expansion than Core Contigency, unless if you don't want a new faction, then I understand you!
