Keep and Change V2: For new build

    Change: Combat fabber

    This is mainly because the new combat fabber balance isn't sitting well with me. I keep losing combat fabbers and no build order, strategy or tactic involving abusing their OP stats sits well with me. In the past 7 days I have barely won any games on the ladder (and even those were against vastly inferior opponents), I'm at the point of giving up on them and just playing my regular build order with which I almost killed burntcustard :p .

    Keep Spinner It has gotten better, 2 in an army can prevent individual air attacks, 10 in an army can contest a sizeable air raid. Could be cheaper but I am content with it.

    Change Grenadier. Still :p

    Slammers are a micro unit. Include a couple of skitters in with them, hold control to see ranges, and micro them in and out of the range. Keep them alive. They have a low alpha but a very high sustained DPS.

    Leave slammer as it is.
    Change: Ant.

    Too much speed and DPS. You want damage ? Bots. Want HP? Ants. One or the other.

    I'd like to inject my opinion that this would be far more effective as a Google Poll or something like that. Manually doing it must be painful.

    Well we do have a number of differences in opinion, but I try keep my disputes to the threads they were started in.

    Personally I really like the ant, and feel like it's in a good place.

    But the slammer doesn't seem to have a edge in any degree, as is even a poor upgrade to the dox.

    So I feel it needs to get a hook or something to give the unit a purpose.

    It has 10 more range than ants. That counts for something.

    Very true, but I find that this doesn't count for much, as it can't really do much with the range other then kite.

    And to me, that doesn't fit the profile.

    But I could be wrong.

    I feel like slammers should have shotguns, a scattershot attack that doesn't do much damage at range, but does more and more concentrated damage as it closes in, due to more and more of its scatter shot hitting.

    True, but this is more of a diversification suggestion rather than a balance suggestion.

    Well if we diversify, then the balance becomes easier rather then contending between units all with similar roles.
