Hopefully this will be the last tournament I have to miss because of exams.

This summer I'm going to be back with a vengeance.

You're going to have a lapse of pacifism?

Yea.. I'm not sure I'll make it myself for the same reason, but screw that: I'm entering anyway, even if I run over and end up not playing PA form now till the tourney, I'm gonna be the guy screaming COM ET ME BRO when I see 200 tanks baring down on my commander.

Beware, I started practising... thought haven't yet got a single victory but I save them for 14th June. Hopefully lagginess is fixed before that.

Edit: First 1v1 and first victory... Now I'm done practising, back to 1v1v1v1...'s and Galactic War.

If you're having problems with lag, check out this thread, hopefully it'll help: https://forums.uberent.com/threads/how-to-improve-performance-all-video-cards-driver-links.53165/

That's a bummer. Well, we look forward to having you for the next tournament!

Thanks Brian, but I've read that thread. Drivers are up to date and it seems that CPU/GPU load is not a problem - thought I got AMD system and I read somewhere that game supports more NVIDIA. I've tried change my settings almost from anything to everything but that doesn't seem to affect at all. Connection is 40/10Mbps, stable. So that's not a reason, me thinks.

Game is not unplayable but UI lag makes it a bit hard ;)

Plus this way I get to keep my 4:1 win:loss ratio from the first (and only) PACE tournament I've played so far.

    That's a bummer.

Performance is being improved with every update. So we'll get there.

Are PACE and Exodus rival community groups? I ask because with a small community currently having 2 e-sports groups for the game seems a bit excessive.

I'm not complaining though, more tournaments = more fun! I won't be playing but I'll definitely be watching the videos.

Nah. Both groups have different ways of doing things, but we're both interested in the same thing: ensuring a good time for the PA community. We even co-ordinate our schedules to ensure we don't have events clash.

Could I ask what you do differently? I'm genuinely curious. I feel that you'd be able to get more done if you were all working together but I'm glad you make sure events don't clash etc.

eXodus was founded by a group of former PACE people who wanted to work independently of the power structure existing in PACE at the time. The simplest (and nicest) way to explain it is probably to call it a personality conflict. In terms of operations eXodus has a focus towards maximizing quality (at the cost of smaller more exclusive events) whereas PACE focuses on community engagement (by maximizing entries and rounds for example).

Why the heck does every PACE thread have to involve the issues between Exodus and PACE?

Seriously, why the hell does it matter. People, leave it be.

Seriously guys. Can we stop with the pissing contest and drama and just play the game?

Makes me want to have nothing to do with either group with all the drama going around.

I'll start a new tournament organization! With blackjack! and hookers!

Now you're just setting up a scene where I rope in the best players in PA with a rigged poker match, it gets violent, and the survivors get jailed for manslaughter.

This may or may not be a good idea. :D
