ye Origin does suck. but for the price of free it's a pretty darn good shooter might as well grab it while you can keep EA from making money even if you're never going to play it. someone else might want it. As for relation to PA I'd say, "guilty as charged".... Apart that PA's a game and that battlefield's also a game, that people who come here are often gamers and the people who may play BF3 are too, no it doesn't have any real link to PA. I'd have felt guilty for having kept this valuable piece of info to myself. I'm sure many here will be grateful. But I hope this won't be seen as a bad act on my part. I remember paying 65 bucks for it so, this is an opportunity to not make my mistake. is BF4 that different to the point that it makes BF3 worthless? no. they're the same game with the same graphics. and considering we get our entertainment pipeline clogged with shooters yearly, I suggest we stop paying for them. And this is one good way to not be tempted to spill cash on another shooter clone.
The idea that getting it for free will hurt EA is silly. The sole reason why EA would do this is because they will generate more money from people using origin then they will make from continuing sales of BF3.
ugh I knew his was coming. ye, except not for people that are responsible and aware like I've probably made them with that post. they hope to better sell BF4 that way but if I've already told people that BF3 is the same game then they'll keep to their free offer and everything'll be fine. As for origin you there's no other distribution of that game. so If people were going to buy it, your problem wasn't the Origin bit.
it is. the most sickening bit of it is that it doesn't exist for 64 bit. I think I might have run the damn thing a hell of a lot more if I wasn't discouraged in the first split second after hitting "play" by the idea of having to instal a new browser first.
of course. That would be such terrible promotion if the idea was that they'd take it back. And yes Origin is that far behind steam because it doesn't have that feature (except for demos and early access).
I'll assume this was originally mis-posted on the PA forums? Or you didn't realise this site has an Off-topic section. Got BF3 ages ago in that EA bundle, but that bloody stupid Browser-based main menu is DUMB. REALLY DUMB. What benefit does having to open a webpage have over a simple menu screen?
You didn't quite catch everything from what I was saying. To play your free BF3 you will be using Origin. That means you will be seeing adverts for other games on Origin. I am willing to bet that that bit right there is there primary goal.
we knoooow... the thing is we're responsible and some of us here even know how to hack ads right out of origin.
