My Game Starts but the starting screen is blank

I start up PA, but there is only the picture of space and my cursor, no buttons or UI, just space and the music plays but there's nothing there. I can't do anything without the start menu.

did you buy it on steam or from the website?

go to run and type in dxdiag and post the txt file it makes.

Also, when did you install the game?

Also, do you have mods installed or enabled?
