Can it be that when I click on a planet in the top right and I just to a planet I've previously been looking at, the camera return to the point it was when I was last looking at that planet? This would make it a lot easier to connect teleports as I can just click and connect without having to scroll around and find it again. I understand that there are camera bookmarks but this would also be good to have, involve less micro, and help remove some disorientation when flicking between planets.
Two things. First one, don't really know which run again at. Second one, how is picture-in-picture workaround?
You open Pip on your moon and use the switch button or hotkey to switch between bases. Then you get to see both bases and instantly switch no problems That said he does have a point, it has to go somewhere on the planet, why not over your base? It can do a check if you have a teleporter and if so center over that or something. If not orb launcher, then go down the list
Can't you use anchor-points or something with ctrl+alt+1-0? I seem to remember there being something like that in the game. Edit: Ignore my stupidity.
That works great too, camera anchors help immensely in this game. I rebound mine thought so alt+1-0 sets it, and shift+1-0 recalls it. Works much smoother I find
Pip and camera save points or camera anchors are work arounds because: a) I have to use more buttons than I should. b) I may be using Pip for something else. c) I may be using my camera points already. And even so, that's not really my point: Can anyone give me a good reason why the camera should not just return to where it was the last time I viewed that planet? My guess is no. If this were the case then I think players will find navigating between planets using the icons in the top left of the screen much faster and easier and less disorienting.
no but he has a point. I use PiP and I find that your view rotating on your other planet as you rotate around a moon to be annoying and to be all the more amplified by the fact the two are not at al the same size, and the same amount of degrees rotated does not translate well at all from one planet to the other. This makes sending your nuke or linking your gate tedious and strainfull.
